Sophia Stone is an award-winning Canadian-American Latine entrepreneur based in Toronto. She is a force of nature destined to change the consultancy marketplace. Since her early years as an engagement manager, she has strived to challenge outdated consulting and contingent workforce standards. Her motivation is driven by equity of access for all consultants and the desire to create a fair, unbiased and transparent environment for all. With a BA in International Affairs and a Master’s Degree in Management Innovation & Entrepreneurship, Sophia is a lifelong learner, dog lover, and world traveller.
Meet Mohit, an accomplished Software Architect with a passion for solving complex problems through innovative software solutions. With over a decade of experience in fintech development, Mohit has built a career creating scalable, reliable, and secure systems, including a real-time trade monitoring app for Institutional Equities and an LMS for NBFC. Mohit holds a Master's of Computer Applications and a Bachelor's in Computers. He stays up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies, ensuring his work meets the highest standards of quality. Mohit is an excellent communicator and collaborator, working seamlessly with cross-functional teams to achieve shared goals. He's also committed to mentoring and developing the next generation of software architects. Juan is a member of the board of directors of Wells Fargo & Company and Wells Fargo Bank, N.A. He serves on the Credit, Finance, Risk and Technology Committees of the Board.He is a retired principal of PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) LLP and served as vice chairman, Global Advisory Services, the global consulting, strategy, forensic, and M&A businesses of PwC. Prior to that he was the in charge of Advisory Services in the US and before that the Chief Risk Officer of Santander Investment, the international division of Banco Santander.Juan is also a member of the board of directors of UST Global, Inc., a privately held software and technology engineering firm active in 25 countries and serves on the board of Mainetti, Inc, the world’s largest manufacturer of fashion accessories and hangers and he is a former Senior Advisor at Eurasia Group, the leading global geopolitical advisory firm.In addition to leading one of the largest advisory businesses, Juan has served in a number of different roles as a finance and technology advisor to many of the world’s leading financial institutions and technology companies. During his career he has also worked closely with many technology startups, as an advisor and a partner, focusing on various aspects of financial services and health care. He currently advises companies in artificial intelligence, payments, health-tec and virtual reality.Juan serves on the Board of Advisors of The School of Social Policy and Practice of the University of Pennsylvania. He is a graduate of the Jerome Fisher Program in Management and Technology of the University of Pennsylvania, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Economics (Finance) from the Wharton School and a Bachelor of Applied Science (Computer Science) from the School of Engineering and Applied Science. He is also a graduate of The Lawrenceville School, as well as a past trustee of the Rye Country Day School and serves on the Advisory Council of IESE in Barcelona.
Neil Bartlett is a finance industry veteran with over 30 years experience. He has held senior positions in the Canadian Banking industry as SVP, Data and Analytics at RBC, and SVP, Head of Analytics at Scotiabank. Prior to that, he was CTO Algorithmics - a risk management start-up that IBM purchased in 2010 for $345MM USD. In 2013, he was honoured as an IBM Fellow. In 2019, Neil retired to focus on advising and nurturing start-ups. He is currently writing his fourth book, this one focussed on financial literacy for younger Canadians.
Dr. Cruz’s professional experience combines her expertise in advanced quantitative techniques grounded on statistics, engineering, econometrics, and machine learning with deep knowledge of risk management practices related to the uses of predictive modeling in the highly-regulated banking industry. Besides responsibilities for developing and implementing data-based solutions that address critical business needs, she also has extensive experience in the area of model risk management and keeping pace with shifting compliance and regulatory expectations related to data and model governance in banking. With over 20 years of corporate and academic experience, Dr. Cruz currently leads a highly-skilled team specializing in predictive modeling and analytics for the Risk Management organization at Truist Financial Corp. Her prior employers include Bank of America, Fannie Mae, American Express, Ally Financial, TD Bank and ConocoPhillips. Her roles have included hands-on data analysis and experimental design, model development/implementation, ongoing forecasting process execution, process improvements/reengineering, quantitative team leadership and coaching, and model risk identification, measurement, and mitigation. Dr. Cruz holds a Ph.D. and Master of Science in Mining and Minerals Engineering from Virginia Tech, where she worked in various research projects in the areas of optimization, first-principle and statistical modeling, field instrumentation using video signal processing, and advanced process controls. Her R&D focus also included application of neural networks in industrial processes. Born and raised in the Dominican Republic, she graduated with a B.S. in Electronics Engineering. She also holds a Master in Business Administration from the University of Florida, and several certifications including Six Sigma Master Black Belt, and Financial Risk Manager (FRM). She is a member of the Technology Association of Georgia, the Society for Industrial and Applied Mathematics, and the Institute for Operations Research and the Management Sciences. Dr. Cruz has served as cabinet member of the United Way of Greater Atlanta’s Cole Women United affinity group and as Board member of Girls in Tech’s Atlanta chapter.
